RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the City has received a request by David Broekemeier for a variance
from the Future Development Zone specifications of the Urban Development Element of the
City of Omaha Master Plan for property located at approximately 216th and Walnut Streets as
shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference; and,
WHEREAS, the Urban Development Element of the Master Plan of the City of
Omaha allows for variances from the Future Development Zone specifications upon meeting the
criteria set forth for same; and,
WHEREAS, justification for said variance being that the lots proposed can be
served by gravity sewer, the site in question being currently surrounded by development, and that
approval of the request will "further another important Master Plan objective which will offset
any detrimental Urban Development Policy effect"; and,
WHEREAS, the City Planning Board held a public hearing on this request
October 3, 2001, and recommended approval of said waiver.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the request of David Broekemeier for a variance from the Future
Development Zone specifications of the Urban Development Element of the City of Omaha
Master Plan for property located at approximately 216th and Walnut Streets, as shown op Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference, is hereby approved.
