Payment of Membership Dues
The League of Nebraska Municipalities
For a number of years, the City has paid its membership dues for the League of Nebraska
Municipalities during the first quarter of the City's fiscal year. While these dues are for the
League's fiscal year ending August 31st, we have, in the interest of consistency, paid only one
year's dues during a given fiscal year. Payment to the League for the past five years is as
follows:
1996 $37,899.00
1997 $38,739.00
1998 $39,833.00
1999 $41,833.00
2000 $43,512.00
The attached Resolution is being submitted to you for consideration in the amount of$47,512.00
for the League's year ending August 31, 2001. Payment is to be made from the 2001 General
Expense Budgetary Account No. 1860.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the League of Nebraska Municipalities is a statewide organization
embracing cities and villages in the State of Nebraska for their common good and, in particular,
representation of the interests of said cities and villages before the Nebraska Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Omaha should join its sister cities and villages in the
State of Nebraska in supporting the League of Nebraska Municipalities; and,
WHEREAS, it is for the benefit and interest of all the citizens of Omaha that
Omaha belong to this organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the City of Omaha retain its membership in the League of Nebraska
Municipalities and pay its dues in the amount of $47,512.00 to be paid from the 2001 General
Expense Budgetary Account No. 1860.
