Transmitted herewith is an Ordinance to amend Special Ordinance No. 10004 levying special tax
assessments for weed abatement in the year 2001.
The Land Reutilization Commission acquired the property before the weed abatement was
assessed. The Finance Department desires to remove the assessment and clear the lien from the
property record.
Your consideration and approval of the attached Ordinance is requested.

AN ORDINANCE to amend certain portions of Special Levy Ordinance No. 10004 levying an
assessment for weed abatement in the year 2001, by repealing the assessment on the
property legally described as Lot 4, W %2 Lot 3 & all 4 & E %2 Vac. Alley Adj. 37 x 125,
Block 4, Sixteenth Street Addition to the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska,
1411 Browne Street; and to provide an effective date hereof.
WHEREAS, Special Levy Ordinance No. 10004 was passed by the City Council of the City of
Omaha on February 13, 2001, levying a special assessment for weed abatement on
certain lots in the City of Omaha, and it has been ascertained that the assessment on the
following described property and in the amount so levied by Special Ordinance No.
10004 should be repealed. The .Land Reutilization Commission acquired the property
before the weed abatement was assessed.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That such portion of Special Ordinance No. 10004, passed February 13, 2001,
relating to and levying the special assessment for weed abatement upon the following described
property:
