Remarks: The dwelling was written up for condemnation proceedings on August 20, 1999 because of
flood damaged.
A condemnation hearing was held on January 27, 2000. The inspector found that the dwelling open. The
owner's husband Idus Thomas, appeared and requested a layover. The hearing was laid over until June
15, 2000.
At the hearing on June 15, 2000 the owner's husband, Idus, appeared again. The house was still open
and a hazard to the neighborhood. The dwelling was condemned.
The owner appealed the decision to the City Council. It was heard on July 25, 2000 and laid over 16
weeks until November 14, 2000. On November 14, 2000 the council again laid the property over 16 more
weeks. At the Council meeting on March 6, 2001 the council denied the appeal.
The previous owner, Lous Thomas, sold the property to her daughter Rhodesia F. Thomas on August 8,
2002.
