Transmitted herewith is a Resolution authorizing the extension of the
Professional Services Agreement with SterlingSolutions & Systems, Barbara J.Hauptman

Inc. in the estimated amount of$26,940.00 (not to exceed $30,810.00) to Brenda J.Smith
provide Phase II of the training and certification of officers in the usage Deputy Chief of Police
of Mobile Data Computers (MDC's) for the Omaha Police Department.
As noted in the Agreement with Sterling Solutions & Systems, Inc., the Contract expires March
31, 2002 unless both parties agree upon an extension not to exceed August 31, 2002. The Police
Department recommends approving the extension of the Professional Services Agreement with
Sterling Solutions & Systems, Inc. and requests your consideration and approval of this
Resolution.
Funds of $26,940.00 (not to exceed $30,810.00) have been appropriated in Year 2001, Local
Law Enforcement Block Grant 2000, Fund 166, Agency 200, Organization 6205, Object 2499.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost from this account.

WHEREAS, Sterling Solutions & Systems, Inc. wishes to extend the term of
Phase II of the Professional Services Agreement to August 31, 2002, to provide training,
personnel, and resources to assist the Omaha Police Department in training and certification of
officers in the usage of Mobile Data Computers (MDC's); and,
WHEREAS Sterling Solutions & Systems, Inc. is qualified to perform the
services contemplated herein in the amount of$26,940.00 (not to exceed$30,810.00); and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended approval of this extension.
• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the extension of the Professional Services Agreement with Sterling
Solutions & Systems, Inc. in the estimated amount of$26,940.00 (not to exceed $30,810.00), to
provide training, personnel, and resources to assist the Omaha Police Department in Phase II of
the training and certification of officers in the usage of Mobile Data Computers (MDC's), is
hereby accepted and the same hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
