and Members of the City Council,
Attached for your consideration is a Resolution appointing Tim Clark to the Greater Omaha
Convention and Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board.
The Interlocal Agreement between the City and Douglas County Approved by Resolution 755
and adopted by the City Council on March 26, 2002 provides for the establishment of the Greater
Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau and the creation of an advisory board consisting of
seven (7) individuals who are to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
The only requirement that a nominee must have is that they shall not be an elected official or a
governmental employee and that they must reside in Douglas County. Mr. Clark meets the
qualifications and I would recommend that his appointment to the board to serve a five-year term
commencing on the date of confirmation.

Tim Clark,Omaha native,graduated from Benson High School and the University of South Dakota,Vermillion.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education.Tim Clark enhanced his musical and
performing skills while touring with the International group"Up With People." While touring with Up With
People,he visited over 11 countries including Germany, Switzerland and the Soviet Union to name a few.
Upon returning to Omaha,Tim began his career with the YMCA as a YouthNet Outreach Worker,and was later
promoted to the Director of the YouthNet program. Tim served as the Executive Director of the Butler-Gast
YMCA for 4 years,currently Tim holds the position of Executive Director for the South Omaha Community
YMCA.Tim also served under former Mayor P. J. Morgan as the Executive Director of the Omaha Community
Partnership and Senior Staff Advisor to the Mayor. Tim is currently the President and CEO of Clark
Connection Group, Inc. Most recently,Tim traveled to Omaha's sister city in Germany to perform with the
Jazz group,Gulizia Brothers. Tim has been blessed with an opportunity to share his deep golden voice with
people from all over the world. Tim is the President/CEO of Clark Connection Group, Inc and a Senior Partner
with the company Convention&Meeting Services Omaha, Inc. which is a event and meeting destination
company. He is the co-founder of Omaha Mass Choir and the executive producer of the Omaha Mass Choir CD
"God Is Good". Tim is the Voice of Omaha for the commercial that is promoting the City of Omaha"It's the
steaks baby,and the sizzle"Tim is married to Dinah Clark and is the proud father of daughter,Jessica and son
Brice.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, by virtue of Resolution 755, adopted by the City Council on March
26, 2002, an Interlocal Agreement between the City and Douglas County was approved that
established the Greater Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau; and,
WHEREAS, Section III. B. of the Agreement provides for` the creation of a
visitors advisory board pursuant to section 4.08 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter and the
Nebraska Visitors Development Act; and, appointments to the Business:Improvement Board to
be made by the mayor, with approval of the city council; and,
WHEREAS, Section III. B. further provides that the board shall consist of seven
(7) members.to be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor would like to appoint a new member to the Greater
Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board to serve a five year term; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Omaha is being requested by Mayor
Mike Fahey to appoint Tim Clark to be a member of the Greater Omaha Convention and Visitors
Bureau Advisory Board to serve a five-year term commencing on the date of confirmation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA: '

THAT, the appointment by Mayor Mike Fahey of Tim Clark to be a member of
the Greater Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board to serve a five-year term
commencing on the date of confirmation by the City Council is hereby confirmed.
