RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 13-123 of the Omaha Municipal Code created and
established a Civil Rights Hearing Board; and,
WHEREAS, the term of LaVon Stennis Williams on the. Civil Rights Hearing
Board has expired; and,
WHEREAS, Section 13-125(a) of the Omaha Municipal Code empowers the
Mayor to nominate a candidate as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Mike Fahey, has determined to renominate LaVon Stennis
Williams for appointment as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board, to serve a
three year term commencing upon confirmation by the City Council and expiring September 15,
2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the nomination and appointment by Mayor Mike Fahey of LaVon Stennis
Williams as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board, to serve a three year term
commencing upon confirmation by the City Council and expiring September 15, 2005, be and
hereby is confirmed and approved.
