LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER
Omaha,Nebraska October 22, 2002
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 14-115 of the Revised Statutes of Nebraska provides that the
City Council may, by concurrent resolution voted on in favor by two-thirds of all the members,
vacate an existing plat and replat real estate within the City of Omaha; and,
WHEREAS,the owners of certain real estate lying within Omaha View Extension,a
subdivision surveyed,platted and recorded in Douglas County,Nebraska,have petitioned to have a
portion of said plat vacated and replatted as MIAMI HEIGHTS,with a waiver of Section 53-8,Street
Design Standards,to reduce the minimum sag sight distance from 175 to 150 feet,located Southeast
of 33rd and Corby Streets; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has recommended approval of this vacation
and replat.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT,the replat transmitted herewith entitled MIAMI HEIGHTS,with a waiver of
Section 53-8, Street Design Standards, to reduce the minimum sag sight distance from 175 to 150
feet,located Southeast of 33rd and Corby Streets,is hereby approved; and concurrently a portion of
the existing plat entitled Omaha View Extension, and described on said replat, is hereby vacated.
