RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 6.04 of the City of Omaha Municipal Charter created and established the
City of Omaha Personnel Board; and,
WHEREAS, the term of Ari D. Riekes as a member of the City of Omaha Personnel Board
expired August 7, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, Section 6.04 of the City of Omaha Municipal Charter empowers the Mayor to
appoint members to the Personnel Board; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor hereby nominates Ari D. Riekes for reappointment as an Alternate
Member of the City of Omaha Personnel Board to serve a five-year term commencing upon August 24, 2022
and expiring on August 23, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the reappointment of Ari D. Riekes as an Alternate Member of the City of Omaha
Personnel Board to serve a term of five years commencing upon August 24, 2022 and expiring on August 23,
2027, be and hereby is confirmed.

Omaha Home Rule Charter section 8.08 requires that the City's Mayor, all Council members,and "all officers and
employees of the city"take a certain oath, as described on the attached oath form. To ensure the legal effectiveness of
our board members' actions,we are asking all board members to review,sign the oath below in the presence of a
notary. If you do not have a notary readily available,the City Clerk's office, LC level,City Council offices in the Civic
Center,will notarize the form for you. A copy or facsimile should be sent to Carrie Murphy to place on file with the City
