RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement with Alfred Benesch & Company to provide
professional services for OPW 54220, being the F Street from 148th St. to 156th St. Project,
including Hartman Avenue, 60th Street to 52' Street, was approved by City Council Resolution
0320 on April 07, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, additional design phase services are required for the completion of this project;
and,
WHEREAS, Alfred Benesch & Company has agreed to perform the additional services
needed as detailed in the attached Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, which by this reference
is made a part hereof, for an additional fee not to exceed $141,026.00 which will be paid from the
2020 Street Preservation Bond Fund 13191, Transportation Bonds Organization 117117.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services
Agreement with Alfred Benesch & Company for design phase services on OPW 54220, being the
F Street from 148th St. to 156th St. Project, including Hartman Avenue, 60th Street to 52nd Street,
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the additional fee not to exceed
$141,026.00 for these services to be paid from the 2020 Street Preservation Bond Fund 13191,
Transportation Bonds Organization 117117.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT

THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this 2 y of F}143 S1- , Z6LZ
by and between the firm of Alfred Benesch & Company, with offices at 14748 W. Center
Road, Suite 200,Omaha, NE 68144, and hereinafter referred to as the "Consultant", and
the City of Omaha, Nebraska, acting by and through its Mayor, hereinafter, referred to as
the "City".
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage the Consultant to amend the Engineering
Agreement for OPW 54220, F Street from 148th St. to 156th St. which was entered into
on April 07, 2022, hereinafter called existing Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that the existing Agreement be amended as
follows:
1. The existing agreement shall be amended to include additional engineering
work as outlined in the attached "Exhibit B", Schedule of Services.
2. The fee will consist of a compilation of estimated direct salary costs, direct
non-salary costs, indirect salary costs, indirect non-salary costs and direct
salary payroll additives, as provided in Exhibit"C" attached.
3. This modification will increase the existing agreement by $141,026.00.
This AMENDMENT shall be deemed a part of, and be subject to all terms and conditions
of the existing Agreement. Except as modified above, the existing Agreement shall
remain in full force and effect.

their proper officials thereunto duly authorized as to the dates belowindicated.

Design Services—Supplemental Agreement#1

OVERVIEW
Alfred Benesch & Company (Benesch) was selected to provide the professional consulting
services related to the design of four (4) projects to be performed under the City of Omaha's
(City) 2020-2025 Street Preservation Bond (SPB) Program, specifically project OPW 54220, F
Street from 148th St. to 156th St. Benesch proposes to provide additional professional services
for the Hartman Avenue, 60th to 52"d, substandard street rehabilitation project identified by the
City. The additional work required for this project includes survey, data collection,
scoping/planning, design, and development of an SPB bid package.
These professional services shall be described under the following major categories:
Task 0. Project Management & Meetings
Task 5. Survey, Planning and Final Design of Hartman Avenue Improvements
The following shall describe the additional scope of work related to each of these categories.
Services may be added or deleted upon request.
Understanding and Assumptions
Professional consulting services provided under this scope of work shall be consistent with
standard City of Omaha Public Works Department protocols. Services provided shall be limited
to those tasks that can be performed within the maximum allowable contract not-to-exceed
fee. Compensation shall be on a time and materials basis with labor reimbursed at a 3.0
multiplier of direct labor costs (includes overhead and profit) and expenses reimbursed at
actual cost without markup.
Task 0. Project Management& Meetings
Benesch shall provide additional project management of the services performed by the project
team. This work includes project team oversight, coordination of project activities,
maintenance of project records, progress reporting, invoicing, internal cost controls and other
tasks typically associated with project management for pavement preservation, rehabilitation,
and reconstruction projects.
Consultant will coordinate, facilitate, and attend up to two (2) internal coordination meetings
consisting of key Benesch staff associated with the project to discuss progress and upcoming
activities, review work completed, and establish tasks and direction for the Benesch team.

Consultant will coordinate, facilitate, and attend up to two (2) external project meetings
consisting of key City and Benesch staff associated with the project to discuss progress, review
work performed, address key project issues, and establish tasks and direction for the overall
City/Benesch project team.
Task 5.Survey, Planning, and Final Design of Hartman Avenue, 60th Street to 52nd Street
Benesch shall provide the topographic survey and data collection, develop project
scoping/design criteria/objectives, prepare a conceptual plan, provide final design, cost
estimates, contract documents and an SPB bid package for the Hartman Avenue substandard
street rehabilitation project identified by the City. Proposed improvements shall include
reconstruction of the existing roadway to a standard urban concrete pavement with storm
sewer and improvements to curb & gutter, driveways, and sidewalks as appropriate. All
construction improvements shall be consistent with the goals and objectives of the SPB
Program. It is assumed the existing storm sewer network has the capacity available to accept
any collected water from the proposed improvements. No rehabilitation, replacement, or
upsizing of existing sewer is included in this scope of work unless such work is needed to
resolved conflicts associated with constructing the existing improvements.
Anticipated Project Schedule
Benesch shall provide the services outlined above by December 31, 2022, unless otherwise
approved by the City. It is the intention to prepare the Hartman Avenue bid package for a 2023
letting unless otherwise directed by the City.
