(This was the first such program for the department). • Developed, organized, implemented, and facilitated the Citizen Advisory Committee, comprised of local community members and stakeholder for Douglas County Corrections. (This was the first time a Citizen Advisory Committee was established for the department). • Coordinated, organized, and facilitated the $12 million dollar construction and transition project for the Douglas County Youth Center. These positions included 27o uniformed personnel; six administrative staff; fourteen supervisory staff; and thirty-four management staff. • Fiscally managed and prepared a department budget of$13.9 million dollars. • Administrator responsible for accreditation by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care for the facility. This accreditation has been achieved by only 5% of jails nationwide and was the first accreditation for the department. Additional Programs and Projects Accomplished: < Devised ongoing training for all faculty and staff for professional development. 4 Planned and implemented additional fundraising events for high school. • Designed and initiated two fundraising events, in Sarpy County and in Fremont. 8 Initiated evaluation of several program areas and redesigned programs recognized as best practice programs for Heartland Family Service. d Designed and implemented additional programs at Heartland Family Service that included research and procurement of funding sources. • Designed and implemented a delivery system to ensure compliance with health regulations for the dispensation of medications. • Developed, authored, and delivered on-site training programs for the officers assigned to the community programs areas. ✓ Designed and executed appropriate training programs for the transition personnel and general staff of the Douglas County Youth Center. 8 Established and implemented an employee newsletter for all staff within the department.
