RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department is in need
of two (2) SUVs; and,
WHEREAS, the request for bids named City of Omaha, Midsized 5 passenger SUV, opened
on May 18, 2022, produced no bids, Section 5.16 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956 as amended
provides for the Council to authorize the Purchasing Division to make purchases in amounts or
quantities and for periods specified in the resolution, when sealed competitive bids were held but
none received; and,
WHEREAS, AFL, LLC submitted a quote in the amount of $69,790.00; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of this purchase, totaling $69,790.00, will be paid from the General Fund
11111, Contract Administration Organization 116261, year 2022 funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent be authorized to issue a
Purchase Order to AFL, LLC for the purchase of two (2) SUVs, to be utilized by the Facilities
Management Division, in the amount of$69,790.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of this purchase from the General
Fund 11111, Contract Administration Organization 116261, year 2022 funding.

Please generate a Council resolution for the purchase of two (2) Ford Explorers from
Anderson Ford Lincoln. The bid opening onMay 18th, 2022 produced zero bids and three quotes were
obtained. Anderson Ford has these vehicles in stock and the lowest quote. The purchase price is
$34,985.00 each for a total of $69,790.00. Mike Oestmann will submit a requisition for the purchase.
This will be out of 2022 funding. All documents have been uploaded.
