RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 4.06 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956,
as amended, provides that appointments to the Park and Recreation Board shall be made by the
Mayor and confirmed by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, William Meier was appointed to serve on the Park and Recreation
Board for a term which will expire on January 31, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, on February 1, 2003, a vacancy will exist on the Park and Recreation
Board; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Mike Fahey has appointed James D. Esch to a term on the
Park and Recreation Board, said term to commence on February 1, 2003 and expire on January
31, 2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the appointment by Mayor Mike Fahey of James D. Esch as a member of
the Park and Recreation Board to serve a three-year term commencing on February 1, 2003, and
expiring on January 31, 2006, is hereby confirmed.
