OPERATING STATEMENT
USCOC of Greater Iowa, a Pennsylvania Corporation d/b/a US Cellular, Inc. proposes to
construct a wireless communication facility in the City of Omaha. The site is proposed to
be located at 2545 South 120th Street on property owned by GAH Consulting of Omaha.
All proposed facilities, except utility connections (electric and telephone) and an access
road, will be located in a 30' X 60' fenced compound. Communication equipment will
be housed in a self-contained outdoor equipment shelter which will be secured inside of a
chain link fence. A 98-foot monopole tower will be erected in the center of the
compound. A five-foot lightning rod will be installed at the top of the tower making the
above ground elevation of this facility 103 feet. The tower will be designed to support a
minimum of two additional wireless carriers, including certain public safety facilities
owned by the City of Omaha. The City of Omaha is required to submit plans to US
Cellular for any facilities proposed to be located on the monopole in accordance with the
attached license agreement. The compound is adequate in size to support installation of
additional facilities. Radio transmission from this tower will be in accordance with FCC
requirements. Prior to receiving authorization to locate new facilities on this tower,
future carriers must demonstrate that proposed equipment would not cause radio
frequency interference to the radio propagation of existing carriers.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 55-884 of the. Omaha Municipal Code, provides for the
granting of a Special Use Permit; and,
WHEREAS, an application has been submitted by U.S. Cellular for a Special Use
Permit to allow a 103 foot tall Broadcast Tower in a CC-Community Commercial District,
located at 2545 South 120th Street, Omaha,Nebraska; and,
WHEREAS, the City Planning Board has recommended that said permit be
granted pursuant to the application, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a
part hereof by this reference, and the conditions set out in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made
a part hereof by this reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the Special Use Permit application submitted by U.S. Cellular for
permission to allow a 103 foot tall Broadcast Tower in a CC-Community Commercial District,
located at 2545 South 120th Street, Omaha, Nebraska, is hereby approved and the Permits and
Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set
out in Exhibit "A" of the above referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit "B", and all
applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated
pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal
Code.
