The attached Resolution approves the contract with American Asphalt, Inc. for OPW 50084,
being Surface Restoration Program in Westchester, 93rd Street to 94th Street and Hascall Street to
Dewey Circle; in Roxbury, 110th Street to 112th Street and "V" Street to Borman Avenue; and
Stockyards West, 39th Street to 42nd Street and "M" Street to "P" Street.
The following bids were received on May 7, 2003. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 50084 from the Surface
Restoration Organization 116162, City Street Maintenance Fund 12129, year 2003 funding.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from American Asphalt,
Inc. in the amount of $208,545.56, being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your
consideration and approval of this Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the bid of $208,545.56 from American Asphalt, Inc. for OPW 50084,
being Surface Restoration Program in Westchester, 93rd Street to 94th Street and Hascall Street to
Dewey Circle; in Roxbury, 110th Street to 112th Street and "V" Street to Borman Avenue; and
Stockyards West, 39th Street to 42nd Street and "M" Street to "P" Street, being the lowest and
best bid received,be accepted and the contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the contract with American Asphalt, Inc., as recommended by the Mayor,
in the amount of$208,545.56 is hereby approved.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 50084 from
the Surface Restoration Organization 116162, City Street Maintenance Fund 12129, year 2003
