RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Bobcat of Omaha/Doosan of Omaha submitted a quote for a used/demo 2020 Doosan
DL250-5 Wheel Loader with car body forks for the Omaha Police Department Vehicle Impound Unit; and,
WHEREAS, Bobcat of Omaha/Doosan of Omaha is a sole source vendor, providing a unique and non-
competitive article, and as provided in Chapter 5.16 of the Home Rule Charter 1956 as amended, no
competitive bidding is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, Bobcat of Omaha/Doosan of Omaha is a firm qualified to provide the equipment
contemplated herein in the amount of$163,675.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the authorization of this payment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the expenditure based upon the quote from Bobcat of
Omaha/Doosan of Omaha in the amount of $163,675.00, for a used/demo 2020 Doosan DL250-5 Wheel
Loader with car body forks for the Omaha Police Department Vehicle Impound Unit, providing a unique and
non-competitive article, and as provided in Chapter 5.16 of the Home Rule Charter 1956 as amended, is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
THAT, the Finance Department of the City of Omaha is authorized to pay $163,675.00 for the
used/demo 2020 Doosan DL250-5 Wheel Loader with car body forks for the Omaha Police Department Vehicle
Impound Unit from the Omaha Police Department Year 2022, General Fund 11111, Organization 113142
Vehicle Impound Unit, Account 47038 Vehicle Equipment Large.

Please review the attached document for a sole source purchase for this year's budget by the Omaha
Police Department Impound Lot Division.
The Omaha Police Department Impound Lot Division needs to have their wheel loader replaced as
soon as possible. It has exceeded its life expectancy and repairs are outweighing its value. Doosan of
Omaha has a used/demo unit in stock and ready for delivery immediately. There were not any new
units available immediately and this was our best option. The purchase price for this wheel loader is
$163,675.00. It will be out of the 2022 Budget.
