Attached to this are a Bid Tabulation and a Resolution requesting approval of the bid of Husker
Auto Group for the purchase of a van truck with cube body and lift gate per specifications for the
Omaha Public Library System. This van will replace an existing vehicle that is four years old and
has over 100,000 miles on the speedometer.
The following bids were received on December 31, 2003:
Husker Auto Group $29,997.77 (only bid)

Elliott Sanitation Equipment ----
Midwest Service and Sales The Library recommends the lowest and only bid from Husker Auto Group be accepted. The
funds for purchase of the van will come out of the 2003 Public Library Organization 117014.
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is
City policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with
the Contract Compliance Ordinance. •
The intent of this purchase is to replace a van that is four years old and has over 100,000 miles
on it.
I respectfully recommend approval of this Resolution, which would accept the bid of Husker
Auto Group as the lowest and best bid in compliance with the specifications.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bids were received on December 31, 2003 for the purchase of 1
(one) van truck with Hi Cube Body and Lift Gate for the Omaha Public Library System; and,
WHEREAS, Husker Auto Group submitted a bid in the amount of$29,997.77 for
the purchase of the van; and,
WHEREAS, the bid price includes all modifications per specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the bid of Husker Auto Group is the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, Husker Auto Group has on file a current Annual Contract
Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City policy, the Human Relations Director will review
the Contract Compliance Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the residents of the City of Omaha
that this bid be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the funds for this purchase will come from the Public Library fund
11111, Organization number 117014;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA;
THAT, the bid of Husker Auto Group, as recommended by the Mayor, for the
purchase of one (1) van truck with cube body and lift gate modified per specifications in the
amount of$29,997.77 be accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the funds for this purchase will come from Fund 11111, Public Library
Organization Number 117014.
