The FY 2004 Consolidated Submission for Community Planning and Development Programs; approved-by the City Council on November 4, 2003, authorizes this work. In each lot indicated on the plot plan # 1, that is marked with an X, excavate and remove all buried foundations,footings along with all trash and debris, back fill all excavations to existing grade as required. Remove all flat concrete in all lots and all sidewalks up to the curbs. Remove both concrete alleys between 24th & 25th Street. Remove all retaining walls with in this two block area. Remove the entire charles street , all bricks , concrete and curbs from 24th to 25th Street. During excavation and grading remove and back fill all uncovered meter pits and cisterns. As per plot plan # 2 cut all water services at the main, for a total of nine (9) services. Remove the West 60 feet of the main 15' sewer line located in the middle of Charles Street. Any soil that may be brought to this site to fill the excavations shall not be from any borrow site located within the EPA designated Superfund site boundaries. The Contractor shall provide proof to the City Of Omaha. Back fill the excavation to match existing grade and seed the lot. Compact the back fill to 95% of maximum density (based on modified proctor test) This project requires Davis-Bacon wage rates, copies attached in the bid package.
