Attached for your consideration is a Resolution reappointing Terry Moore as a member of
MECA's Board of Directors.
By virtue of Ordinance No. 35043, adopted by the City Council on October 19, 1999, the
Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority (MECA) was created. Therein, Article V
(b) of MECA's by-laws provides that all successive Directors shall be appointed on an
alternating basis by the Mayor of the City of Omaha and by the City Council for a term of five
(5) years and that the first such appointment shall be made by the Mayor. It is currently the
Mayor's turn to make an appointment and I would like to reappoint Mr. Moore, whose current
term has expired, as a Director to the MECA's Board of Directors.
Mr. Moore meets the qualifications and I would recommend his reappointment to the Board to
serve=a term commencing on the date of confirmation through May 9, 2009.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, by virtue of Ordinance No. 35043, adopted by the City Council on

was created; and,
WHEREAS, Article V (b) of MECA's by-laws provides that all successive

WHEREAS, the Mayor would like to reappoint Terry Moore, whose current term
has expired, to the MECA's Board of Directors; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Omaha is being requested by Mayor
Mike Fahey to confirm the reappointment of Terry Moore to be a member of the MECA's Board
of Directors to serve a term commencing on the date of confirmation and running through May
9, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the reappointment by Mayor Mike Fahey of Terry Moore to be a member
of the MECA's Board of Directors to serve a term commencing on the date of confirmation and
running through May 9, 2009, is hereby confirmed.
