The attached Resolution approves the placement of a commemorative street sign on Curtis
Avenue from 37th Street to 39th Street to be called"Jerry& Cookie Hobennan Drive".
The Planning Depaitnient has received a request from the Belvedere Academy and Councilman
Frank Brown for the placement of a commemorative street sign on Curtis Avenue from 37th
Street to 39th Street to be called"Jerry& Cookie Hoberman Drive". After reviewing the request,
the Planning Department recommends approval.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the City of
Omaha to provide for commemorative street names; and,
WHEREAS, a nomination has been submitted for the designation of "Jerry &
Cookie Hoberman Drive" as a commemorative street name on Curtis Avenue from 37th Street to
39th Street; and,
WHEREAS, Jerry & Cookie Hoberman are co-founders of the Winners Circle
Educational Foundation; and,
WHEREAS, both Jerry & Cookie Hoberman have served numerous philanthropic
organizations throughout the City of Omaha; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Director has recommended that said commemorative
name be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
• CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the nomination of "Jerry & Cookie Hoberman Drive" as a
commemorative street name on Curtis Avenue from 37th Street to 39th Street is hereby approved
and the Public Works Department is authorized to erect an acceptable sign therefore, in
compliance with all applicable local and state statutes, ordinances or regulations, and policies.
