Pursuant to Nebraska statutes, the City Council must find that this proposed project is within an approved development plan or plans for the area and located within a Substandard and Blighted area. The Planning Board and the City Council have previously approved, the Substandard and Blighted designation and the Creighton University Master Plan which documents that these criteria have been met. The proposed project consists of the acquisition, construction and purchase of residence halls, parking garages, an academic student service center, technology upgrades and other similar capital improvements to the main Creighton University campus at or in the vicinity of 25th and California Streets, Omaha, Nebraska. This development is funded through the financing of Creighton University and no City funding is involved. We urge your approval of this Resolution.
