The attached Resolution approves the contract with Control Masters, Inc. for OPW 50758, being
the installation of a Gas Detection/Exhaust System, Phase I, at the Traffic Maintenance Facility
at 4303 South 50th Street.
The following bids were received on August 17, 2005. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

CONTROL MASTERS, INC. $23,000.00 (LOW BID) i
Engineered Controls $26,600.00
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is
City policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with
the Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized the cost of OPW 50758 from the Facilities Management
Capital Organization 116262, 1998 Public Facility Bond Fund 13241, year 2005 expenditures.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Control Masters, Inc.
in the amount of $23,000.00, being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your
consideration and approval of this Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bids were submitted on August 17, 2005 for OPW 50758, being the
installation of a Gas Detection/Exhaust System, Phase I, at the Traffic Maintenance Facility at
4303 South 50th Street; and,
WHEREAS, Control Masters, Inc. submitted a bid of $23,000.00, being the
lowest and best bid received for OPW 50758.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the bid of $23,000.00 from Control Masters, Inc. for OPW 50758, being
the installation of a Gas Detection/Exhaust System, Phase I, at the Traffic Maintenance Facility
at 4303 South 50th Street, being the lowest and best bid received within the bid specifications, be
accepted and the contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the contract with Control Masters, Inc. for
OPW 50758, being the installation of a Gas Detection/Exhaust System, Phase I, at the Traffic
Maintenance Facility at 4303 South 50th Street, in the amount of$23,000.00 is hereby approved;
and that the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 50758 from the Facilities
Management Capital Organization 116262, 1998 Public Facility Bond Fund 13241, year 2005
expenditures.
