It was requested that the title changes to these three classifications be made to better reflect the nature of the work performed by those holding•the positions. The salary level of all three classifications.has been at the 29AEC level and will remain at that level. The title changes to these classifications were submitted and approved by the Personnel Board at its December 30, 2004, meeting. Due to the length of the effected ordinance, Omaha City Council Rule VII(B) requiring amending ordinances to recite the entire section is hereby waived solely for the purposes of this ordinance and only the lined out material to be deleted and the underlined material to be added shall be recited herein. Section 2. Work includes budget preparation and management, identifying Council agenda items which require additional research, supervising professional and clerical staff, and serving as a liaison with local and state agencies and organizations. An employee in this classification works closely with City Council members, the Mayor, Department Directors and the public in the performance of assigned duties and is required to attend City Council meetings. General assignments are received from the Council President, however, an incumbent exercises considerable independence in the performance of assigned duties.
