International Police Technologies, Inc. (1PT) in the amount of$112,000.00 Deputy Chief of Police
for 16 digital cruiser cameras. The original agreement was approved by a Brenda J.Smith

install the digital cameras in Omaha Police Department cruisers.
Funds of $78,000.00 have been appropriated in Fiscal Year 2005, General Fund 11111,
Organization 113141 Fleet & Facilities, Account 44118 Photo/Video/Recording Equipment, and
funds of $34,000.00 have been appropriated in Fiscal Year 2006, General Fund 11111,
Organization 113141 Fleet & Facilities, Account 44118 PhotoNideo/Recording Equipment. The
Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost from this account.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, IPT submitted an open competitive proposal for digital cruiser
cameras; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance #36876, authorizing the funding for an Agreement
between DOT.Conim and International Police Technologies, Inc. (IPT) on behalf of the Omaha
Police Department for digital cruiser cameras, was passed December 7, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, the Omaha Police Department wishes to purchase 16 digital cruiser
cameras in the amount of$112,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, IPT will provide the hardware,the software, and the services necessary
to install the digital cameras in Omaha Police Department cruisers; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the approval of this purchase and
payment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the purchase based upon the earlier
proposal of International Police Technologies, Inc., as approved by Ordinance #36876, in the
amount of$112,000.00 for 16 digital police cruiser cameras, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
THAT, the Finance Department of the City of Omaha is authorized to pay
$78,000.00 for the cost of the cameras from Fiscal Year 2005, General Fund 11111, Organization
113141 Fleet & Facilities, Account 44118 Photo/Video/Recording Equipment, and $34,000.00 for
the cost of the cameras from Fiscal Year 2006, General Fund 11111, Organization 113141 Fleet &
Facilities, Account 44118 Photo/Video/Recording Equipment.
