The attached Resolution approves the contract with Hawkins Construction Co. for OPW 50995,
being Energy Recovery Radiator Pad Modifications at the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment
Plant.
The following bids were received on March 1, 2006. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

compliance with the Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized the cost of OPW 50995 from the Missouri River
Wastewater Treatment Plant Organization 116613, Sewer Revenue Fund 21121, year 2006
expenditures.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Hawkins
Construction Co. in the amount of $58,500.00, being the lowest and best bid received, and
requests your consideration and approval of this Resolution.

WHEREAS, Hawkins Construction Co. submitted a bid of$58,500.00, being the
lowest and best bid received for OPW 50995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the bid of $58,500.00 from Hawkins Construction Co. for OPW 50995,
being Energy Recovery Radiator Pad Modifications at the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment
Plant, being the lowest and best bid received within the bid specifications, be accepted and the
contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the contract with Hawkins Construction
Co. for OPW 50995, being Energy Recovery Radiator Pad Modifications at the Missouri River
Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the amount of $58,500.00 is hereby approved; and that the
Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 50995 from the Missouri River
Wastewater Treatment Plant Organization 116613, Sewer Revenue Fund 21121, year 2006
expenditures.
