Dear Mr. Brown.and City Council, 6-22-06
I am writing this letter in concern over Liquor License
Application at 3716 Lake St. by Alfred Veasley.
This location has been the spot of numerous phone calls to
Law Enforcement.
I live in a very quiet neighborhood behind this location.
I and my family have put up with loud music until 4 am in.
the morning, we have picked up beer and liquor bottles up and
down adjoining alley, they have parked on our own street, and
there is gun fire and multiple other problems.
I also have rental property in this area and have major
concerns over losing some verygood renters over this matter.
I have also been told by Law Enforcement that the vice unit
was looking into their after hours activity. L. .
This building is connected to Simple Simmons Day Care that
takes care of many children and I do not believe that a Liquor
License at this location would be a good influence on the young
people of this community.
I am not able to be at the hearing on this matter and would be.
very much appreciate for me and my family a vote of NO on this
application.,
Sincerely A Very
t ` "" - HVW 0 Concerned Home Owner,

My name is Jimmie Joe Caniglia, a home owner at
3275 Ohio St.
1 greatly oppose the liquor license at 3716 Lake, for the
following reasons.
1 ) We already have the Tommy Rose factor in this area.
2)This location already has many people coming and going -
many of which walk through my property on Ohio street,
cross the alley, and jump over a fence to get to this location.
Several times a week my neighbors and I have to clean up
beer bottles, cigarettes, and:other trash.
)i believe this location is not in the best interest of my family
or neighborhood. We are a close knit, quiet neighborhood
filled with children who play outside. The increased traffic as
well as the strangers coming to this area will greatly hamper
the chi.idrens playtime and safetyl
4)Lastly, we already have a liquor store on 38th and Lake
(Super T's) why the need for two?
It is my belief that another liquor store at this location
will cause many problems for myself, my children, and my
community.
