The attached proposed Ordinance rescinds the Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment
Agreement with Bemis Bag Building Partnership, c/o Mercer Management Company. for the
development of a mixed-use building at the corner of 11th and Jones Streets with street level
commercial usage, 25 loft residential units and underground parking. This Redevelopment
Agreement, was approved by the City Council on May 14, 2002 by Ordinance No. 35959,
provided for the use of ad valorem taxes generated by such development and obligated the
Developer to complete the Redevelopment Project. No TIF proceeds have been allocated and the
Developer has subsequently cancelled this Redevelopment Project.
Your favorable consideration of the Ordinance will be appreciated.

AN ORDINANCE rescinding Ordinance No. 35959 passed on May 14, 2002 approving a
redevelopment and tax increment financing loan agreement with Bemis Bag Building
Partnership, c/o Mercer Management Company, 511 South 11th Street, Omaha Nebraska,
for the renovation of the Bemis Bag Building located at 614 South 11th Street and 1114
Jones Street, and providing for an effective date.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. The Redevelopment Agreement with Bemis Bag Building Partnership, c/o
Mercer Management Company for the renovation of the property to develop 25 residential loft
units, underground parking, and street level commercial at 11th and Jones Streets, approved by
the City Council on May 14, 2002 by Ordinance No. 35959, shall be and is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect immediately from and
after the date of its passage.
