The attached Resolution authorizes Sanitary and Improvement District No. 374 (S&ID),
Huntington Park, located at 162nd and Bedford, to extend the West Papio Trail for 980 linear feet
along the east side of the West Papio Creek, located within this subdivision, and to expend for
this trail improvement an amount not to exceed $59,878.00, which includes $17,108.00 in soft
costs.
On August 7, 2006 the Park and Recreation Advisory Board approved this project.
These proposed improvements are consistent with the Suburban Parks Master Plan, were
included in the Subdivision Agreement dated 6/15/04, and are a 100% obligation of the S&ID.
The Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department requests your consideration and approval
of the attached Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Sanitary and Improvement District No. 374 (S&ID), Huntington
Park, in Douglas County, Nebraska is located at 162nd and Bedford Streets; and,
WHEREAS, this S&ID is now requesting approval of the extension of the West
Papio Trail for 980 linear feet along the east side of the West Papio Creek, located within the
boundaries of this subdivision and to expend for this trail improvement, an amount not to exceed
$59,878.00, which include$17,108.00 in soft costs; and,
WHEREAS, the project and soft costs were recommended for approval by the
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on August 7, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, all costs are a 100% obligation of the S&ID and are consistent with
the Suburban Park Master Plan; and,
WHEREAS, these proposed improvements were included in the Subdivision
Agreement dated 6/16/04; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department recommends
that the amount of$59,878.00, including soft costs be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the approval of this trail extension and
improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
