GLENN M _FREEMAN
Glenn Freeman joined the Air Force in September 1955. During his
military service, he served in various assignments in several foreign countries
including Newfoundland, Guam, Korea, Japan, Republic of the Philippines,and
three one-year tours in Southeast Asia.
His milita y decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, three
Merltorlotts Service Medals,four Air Force Commendation Medals, and the Air
Force Outstanding Unit Award with Combat V(Valor)Device. He reared from
the Air Force as a Chief Muster Sergeant in October 1985 after er thirty(30)years
of service.
Upon retirement from the Air Force, Glenn became active iu politics. He
served on both the Dowlas County Republican Party and Nebraska Republican
Party Executive Committees as Assistant Chairman and concurrently as
Chairman of the Outreach Committee. He is a former Chairman f the
Douglas County Republican Party and the Republican.Forums
Glenn currently serves as President of the Omaha Chapter Freedoms
Foundation at Valley Forge, a patriotic civic organization that sponsors annual
trips to Valley Forge,Pennsylvania for high school juniors.
In January 1989, the Governor of Nebraska appointed Glenn
Commissioner with the State Equal Opportunity Commission. He also served
trail corridor property; and,
WHEREAS,S.&I.D.374 agrees to pay$33,145 as a sewer connection fee to be used
for the construction of the sewers in the Papillion Creek Watershed; and,
WHEREAS,S.&I.D.374 agrees to pay$2,759 as an Administrative Fee to the City to

on the Human Relations, and Civil Rights Hearing Boards for the City Omaha:
In January 2000 the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights appointed Glenn
to a two year term on the Nebraska Civil Rights Advisory Committee. He was
reappointed in 2002. He is the author of 4 published essay on racism in
Aarmenica entitled "Good Racism -Bad Racism".
He was the first Director of the Douglas County Attorney's Victim-
Witness Program. Serving in this capacity Glenn acted as a liaison between
victims of crime, witnesses, and the criminal justice system. From 1991 to 1997,
he served as Hospital Service Coordinator for the Disabled American Veterans,
a veteran service organization. In this position, he was responsible for
monitoring disability applications submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs by war-veterans who were disabled in the military service
Glenn currently serves as a senior aide to United States Senator Chuck
Hegel as SpecialAssistant far Military and Veterans Affairs.
Glenn and his wife,Ilebina, have three children.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 13-123 of the Omaha Municipal Code created and
established a Civil Rights Hearing Board; and,
WHEREAS, the term of Glenn M. Freeman on the Civil Rights Hearing Board
will expire in the near future; and,
WHEREAS, Section 13-125(b) of the Omaha Municipal Code empowers each
councilmember in turn to nominate a candidate as an at-large member of the Civil Rights
Hearing Board; and,
WHEREAS, Councilmember Chuck Sigerson, representing Council District
Seven, has determined to renominate Glenn M. Freeman for appointment as an at-large member
of the Civil Rights Hearing Board, to serve a three-year term commencing March 1, 2007, and
expiring three years thereafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the nomination and appointment by Councilmember Chuck Sigerson of
Glenn M. Freeman as an at-large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board from Council
