The mission of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council (DVCC) is to "pull
domestic violence out of the shadows, unite the community against it and stop
the violence." The DVCC is the only organization in Douglas County that brings
people together to end domestic violence, making our community a safer place to
live. We advocate for system change through education and training and by
partnering with agencies who make victims safer and hold offenders
accountable. This money from the City of Omaha will be used for agency
expenses, in support our programs which further this mission.
Of the $20,000, 15% of salary of the DVCC Education and Training Director will
be funded ($60,000 x 15% = $9,000). An additional $6,240 will be used for 50%
-of the salary of the-DVCC part-time office manager (20 hours per week at — —
$12.00 per hour x 52 weeks annually = $12,480 x 50% = $6,240). The remaining
$4,760 will be allocated toward the DVCC Executive Director
($64,000 x 7.44% = $4,760).
