RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Liquor Control Act, as
amended, after a hearing held within 45 days after receiving notice and a copy of the license
application and upon due consideration of all standards and criteria provided by law, this Council
hereby recommends that the following application for a Class "I" Liquor License be granted.
Robertson,Lorraine, dba"The Drop", 5430 North 42nd Street
THAT, the cost of publication of notice of the hearing was $26.00.

Dear Mr. Brown:
Our company has been located at 4256 Redman Avenue for 19 years. We keep our
property neat and well maintained, and are good neighbors to the people that live here.
Daily we witness the destruction of drugs and alcohol on the lives of our neighbors,
especially the little children.
We are opposed to the issuance of another liquor license in this struggling neighborhood.
Please help us build a stronger community by not approving this application.

As president of the St Richard Church Parish Council, I have been selected to
voice the opposition of our parish and school to the Liquor License Application
and Keno-Type Lottery Application submitted by Lorraine Robertson for a
business to be located at 5430 North 42nd Street. The immediate area of this
location has a history of violence and disturbances and such a business would
only provide additional opportunities for this unwanted activity. With St Richard
Grade School only two blocks away, approval by the City Council would
certainly indicate their indifference to the education of our young people.
The people of St Richard Church and School strongly urges the City Council to
deny approval of these applications.
