The purpose of the attached Resolution is to suspend the Levi Carter Park's closing hours to
accommodate the Let It Fly Football Tournament, being held Saturday, October 6, 2007 and
Sunday, October 7, 2007. This tournament is being hosted by Team Championships, Int. .
Your approval to suspend the curfew at Levi Carter Park, 1108 Grand Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska
between 11:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2007 and 5:00 a.m., Sunday, October 7, 2007, to
accommodate the set-up, security and clean up for this event therefore is requested.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the Director of the Parks, Recreation and Public Property
Department is authorized pursuant to Section 21-1 of the Omaha Municipal Code to establish
rules regulating the use of parks within the City of Omaha which become binding provisions of
the Omaha Municipal Code upon approval by resolution of the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, various rules have been so established including rules specifying
closing hours; and,
WHEREAS, Team Championships, Int. would like to hold a Let It Fly Football
Tournament in Levi Carter Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007 and Sunday
October 7, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, it has been requested that the park closing hours be suspended
between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on October 5, 2007 and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2007;
and,
WHEREAS, security will be provided during the overnight hours on Friday,
October 5, 2007 and Saturday, October 6, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department
has approved the suspension of the park closing hours on those days only for this event; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended approval of this request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on
October 5, 2007 and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2007, and on those dates only, Levi Carter
Park, 1108 Grand Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska, shall be open to accommodate setup, security and
clean-up for the Let It Fly Football Tournament being held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 7, 2007, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., sponsored by Team
Championships, Int.
