The purpose of the attached Ordinance is to approve an Agreement between
the City of Omaha and The Hyland Group for provision of convention sales
representation in the national association, corporate, government, and related
group markets, from its offices in Washington D.C., Chicago and New York,
for a period of two years commencing on June 1, 2007, in the total amount of
$81,200. The Convention and Visitors Bureau believes a continuing presence
in these major cities is essential to development of convention and tourism
business for the Omaha area.
The $3,300 monthly compensation and $2,000 start up fee will be paid from
Fund 21109, Organization 115914, Line Item 42239.

AN ORDINANCE to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and The Hyland Group
for provision of convention sales representation in the national association, corporate, r
government, and related group markets, for a period of two years commencing on June 1,
2007, in the total amount of$81,200; to authorize the Finance Director to pay the costs
thereof from Fund 21109, Organization 115914, Line Item 42239; and to provide an
effective date.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That the attached agreement between the City of Omaha and The Hyland
Group for provision of convention sales representation in the national association, corporate,
government, and related group markets, as more specifically detailed therein, for a period of two
years commencing on June 1, 2007, in the total amount of$81,200 is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the Finance Director of the City of Omaha is authorized to pay the costs
for such convention sales representation services to be provided to the City from Fund 21109,
Organization 115914, Line Item 42239.
Section 3. That this Ordinance, not being of legislative character, shall be in force and
take effect immediately upon its date of passage.

each':month following,the execution of this AGREEMENT, The.CLIENT
also,agrees.to pay a onetime start up:fee of$2000 to cover•:additional?staff

daysfollowing execution of;this:agreement:. The:CLIENT agrees to pay THE
