The street carries up to 48,000 vehicles per day and contains access to several large commercial shopping complexes, as well as a major regional shopping center. The corridor is also adjacent to several residential neighborhoods. Detailed traffic and geometric study was conducted to identify options that were cost effective and buildable under traffic. Both short-term and long-term options were identified. The study was conducted with ongoing public input through both public meetings and a project advisory committee made up of area residents and businesses. • Matthew B.
