June 25, 2008 27 CITy r' i Dear Buster Brown: Thank you for your notice about the application of a keno lottery in Millard. I am strongly opposed to this activity creeping into the neighborhood. I am the victim of a gambling divorce. My husband hid his little secret for years until the financial devastation couldn't be hidden anymore. Of course, when he first started gambling, it was just for fun. A little bit here, a little bit there. No one would even know he was doing it, he thought. But it got him. Now he is a retired man living in poverty still wondering where it all went. You think these games are harmless to our society — ya wanna bet?? Don't allow our neighborhoods to be infested with locales that lure people in to become rich quick. It destroys families and weakens our society. I have class Tuesday evenings, or I would be at your meeting.
