Mike Fahey,Mayor Public Works Director Honorable President and Members of the City Council, Transmitted herewith is a Resolution authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue a Purchase Order to Rehrig Pacific Company on the bid purchase of 4,800 curbside recycling containers to be utilized by the Environmental Quality Control Division. Rehrig Pacific Company submitted the low bid of$31,200.00 received on December 7, 2005. Rehrig Pacific Company will honor the 2005 bid price of$6.50 per unit for a purchase made in 2008. The Contractor has on file a current Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City policy, the Human Rights and Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the Contract Compliance Ordinance. The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of the purchase of 4,800 curbside recycling containers from the General Fund 11111, Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Organization 116321, year 2008 expenditures. The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Rehrig Pacific Company in the amount of $31,200.00 and requests your consideration and approval of this Resolution.
