The amendment covers final design services including preparation of plans and specifications, detailed cost estimate and other documents for bidding this combined sewer separation project located in the vicinity of 20th to 27th Streets and Clark to '1,al e Street. The scope of services is detailed in attached Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement. Ehrhart Griffin & Associates has agreed to perform the engineering services listed in Amendment No. 2 for the sum of$121,704.25. Funding for this amendment will come from the Sanitary Sewer Improvement Fund 21124, Sewer Separation Organization 116912, year 2008 expenditure. Ehrhart Griffin & Associates has filed the required Annual Contract Compliance Report Form in the Human Relations Department. A Bidder's failure to participation by Protected and/or Disadvantaged meet the PBE/DBE goal or to show reasonable AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR OPW 50762 ---26th & GRANT AREA SEWER SYSTEM RENOVATION& SEPARATION IMPROVEMENTS The Professional Services Agreement between the City of Omaha, Nebraska(OWNER) and Ehrhart Griffin &Associates dated March 6th, 2005 for professional services to prepare an engineering study and preliminary alternatives report for the combined sewer system in the area bounded by Lake St. on the north, Clark St. on the south,North Expressway(27th) on the west, and 20th St. on the east, is hereby amended as follows: A description of the scope of work and services to be performed is stated in Exhibit A. In summary, this amendment incorporates additional services for: Additional work to complete final design plans and specifications of the selected alternative for sewer separation consisting of preparation of final plans,technical specifications, detailed cost estimate, and other documents necessary for bidding due to the increase in project pipe length and depth, and selection of trenchless construction for the sanitary sewer work. Compensation for the services in the Amendment shall be on an hourly basis as outlined in Section IV of the March 6th, 2005 agreement. The agreed upon cost for this additional work is stated in Exhibit A. The maximum amount for the services covered by this amendment shall not exceed $121,704.25 without prior written authorization by the City of Omaha. In accordance with the provisions of the March 6th, 2005 Agreement, the Amendment is executed on o 3 , 2008. Our original contract status was based upon a projected project cost of$ 1,944,550.48, as identified under Paragraph 1.3 of the EGA contract and was amended for further extended study of the area north of Lake Street in the following manner: • Original contract amount $ 184,239.61 (9.47% of cost opinion) • Expanded study area $ 19,500.00 Current contract amount $ 203,740.00 Contract amendment $ 121,704.25 Amended contract amount $ 325,444.25 As we have discussed, the,final.d.esign_of..this project was,based upon the expanded study area and recommendations set forth in the final report and accepted by the Department. The expanded design parameters consisted of approximately 13,660 lineal feet (compared to 8,550 lineal feet in our original proposal) of storm and sanitary sewer pipe. In effect, based upon our previous agreement, this letter of contract amendment would be in the amount of$ 121,704.25. All terms and conditions of the original contract would remain unchanged.
