RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: ='
WHEREAS, Section 7.03 of the City Charter provides that there shall be':seven
members on the City Planning Board,six of whom must reside within City corporate limits,and'one
of whom must reside outside the City corporate limits but within its zoning jurisdiction; and;
WHEREAS, the six City resident members are to be appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the City Council for five-year terms; and,
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the City Planning Board due to the resignation of
Rebecca Valdez on September 3, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Fahey has determined to nominate Thomas O. Kelley for
appointment as a City-resident member of the Planning Board, to serve commencing upon
confirmation by the City Council, and said term expiring on December 23, 2008.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT,the nomination and appointment by Mayor Mike Fahey of Thomas O.Kelley
as a City-resident member of the Planning Board to serve the remaining term of Rebecca Valdez,
