The attached Resolution approves the placement of a commemorative street sign on North Ridge
Drive between Forest Lawn Avenue and State Street to be called"Rosemary Allen Drive".
The Planning Department has received the attached application from Linda Dugan for the
placement of a commemorative street sign on North Ridge Drive between Forest Lawn Avenue
and State Street to be called"Rosemary Allen Drive".

applicant to make and install them. (The approximate cost per sign is $100.00.)
• No more than one sign will be permitted per street segment.

or signs approved. If the sign or signs fall into disrepair they will be removed by the City of
Omaha.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the`City of
Omaha to provide for commemorative street names; and,
WHEREAS, a nomination has been submitted for the designation of"Rosemary
Allen Drive" as a commemorative street name on North Ridge Drive between Forest Lawn
Avenue and State Street; and,
WHEREAS, Rosemary Allen is a life-long resident of North Omaha and has
committed thousands of hours in helping to construct the Florence Bank kMuseum and the
Florence Depot Museum. She has provided hundreds of tours to visitors worldwide; and,
WHEREAS, Rosemary Allen has held positions with the Florence Arts and
Humanities Council, the Florence Historical Foundation and the Florentine Players. She has
dedicated her life to ensuring that Florence's contributions to Omaha History are not forgotten.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the nomination of "Rosemary Allen Drive" as a commemorative street
name on North Ridge Drive between Forest Lawn Avenue and State Street is hereby approved;
and the Public Works Department is authorized to erect an acceptable sign therefore, in
compliance with all applicable local and state statutes, ordinances or regulations, and policies
with all costs to be borne by the applicant.
