Transmitted herewith is an ordinance approving a lease with HP Financial Services for 85 computers to provide public access and support staff services to the public throughout the Omaha Public Library system. This lease is an addition to an existing contract with HP Financial Services as approved in Ordinance 36124, 12/17/02. State contract based pricing is the basis for this lease. Pricing and lease are based on Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA)Master agreement 90-00151. This award is for a three (3) year period. The lease cost is firm for the length of the agreement. The annual cost is anticipated to be$28199.35. Additional costs related to the lease are estimated at$7,910.77. The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the Contract Compliance Ordinance. Funds for this service will be paid from the 2008, and subsequent years, General Fund 11111, Organization 117017, Object 42474. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. That the extension of an existing contract authorized by Ordinance # 36124, passed December 17, 2002 with HP Financial Services, is hereby accepted-and the Purchase Order approved to provide lease financing for 85 new HP Compaq dc7800 to the Omaha Public Library for a three year period. The Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA ) state pricing is the basis for the pricing of this lease. Section 2. That the Purchasing Agent of the City of Omaha be, and is hereby authorized and empowered to issue a Purchase Order for lease of 85 new personal computers, the terms of which shall run from the date this Ordinance takes effect and will end 36 months after the delivery date of the equipment. The lease price will be firm. Section 3 HP Financial Services will submit an annual invoice which will be paid after receipt at the current rate, as bid, per amounts listed on the attached document, with payments anticipated to be $ 28,199.35 annually. An additional business personal property tax surcharge will be required, and is estimated to be $3,810.77. End of lease costs to return equipment is estimated to be $4,100.00.
