I own with my husband 4812 south 194`h Ave.where I operate an in home 1 daycare. I would like to
extend my business to an in home 2.This would allow me to have a few more children to help pay for
someone to help me out fulltime with the daycare.An in home 2 allows a person to have up to 12
children in their residence.
I have a walkout basement dedicated to the daycare. It includes a large room for preschoolers,toddlers,
and mobile infants.There is a nonconforming bedroom that I am using as an infant room for naps and
tummy time so they are not trampled on or in any danger.We also have a half bathroom.There is a
storage room and furnace room locked so kids cannot access them.
Outside we have a large irregular lot which provides plenty of space to have additional children.As soon
as the ground warms up,we will have a fence built to avoid any dangers.We back up to a tree commons
area.This helps the noise of the children to not bother people. Having close to 40 children on my street
alone,I do not believe two additional to my in home daycare would bother my neighbors.
On my street,there is room for people to park on the side which the in home 2 requires of you to have
at least room for three cars.We have our double driveway as well.Across the street and down one
house there is a dead end on"M"st. It would offer additional parking if needed.
I will be in service from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.As of right now it is only myself working with the children
with help onlyduringlunch time. I would like have twopart time employees if I were to have an in
e p to
home 2.This would allow me to give the best quality time with children to have someone else to
organize group activities or have a couple small group activities. I have worked with children in a
professional setting for 5-6 years,so, I know how to keep children somewhat contained and keep the
noise level down to not bother others.
I will have two or three families dropping off around 7:30AM and the others one family at a time
between 8AM and 9AM.This will help to keep the traffic to a minimum.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: _,
WHEREAS,Section 55-884 of the Omaha Municipal Code,provides for the granting
of a Special Use Permit; and,
WHEREAS,an application has been submitted by Nicole Humlicek for a Special Use
Permit to allow Day care (general) in an R4-Single-Family Residential District (High Density),
located at 4812 South 194th Avenue, Omaha,Nebraska; and,
, WHEREAS,the City Planning Board has recommended that said permit be granted
pursuant to the application,a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit"A"and made a part hereof
by this reference,and the conditions set out in Exhibit"B"attached hereto and made a part hereof by
this reference.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Nicole Humlicek for
permission to allow Day care(general)in an R4-Single-Family Residential District(High Density),
located at 4812 South 194th Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska, is hereby approved and the Permits and
Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor,provided the conditions set out
