relating to negligence or intentional acts of the City. Failure to pay the City of
Omaha or its designee all of its expended costs, after forty-five days written
notice, shall constitute a breach of the agreement. The City of Omaha or its
designee shall thereafter be entitled to bring an action against the Property
Owner to pay, or foreclose upon the lien hereby authorized by this agreement
against the property, or both. Interest, collection costs, and reasonable
attorney fees shall be added to the recovery to the successful party.
6. The Property Owner shall not obligate the City of Omaha to maintain or repair
the facility or facilities, and the City of Omaha shall not be liable to any person
for the condition or operation of the facility or facilities.
7. The Property Owner, its administrators, executors, successors, heirs, or
assigns, hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the City and its authorized
agents and employees for any and all damages, accidents, casualties,
occurrences or claims that may arise or be asserted against the City from the
construction, presence, existence or maintenance of the facility or facilities by
the Property Owner. In the event a claim is asserted against the City, its
authorized agents or employees, the City shall promptly notify the Property
Owner and the Property Owner shall defend at its own expense any suit
based on such claim unless due solely to the negligence of the City in which
event the City shall be required to defend any such suit at its own expense.

• Administrator of several programs totaling $5.8 million dollars and over 8o
employees. These programs include: Youth Links Program for youths (24
hour crisis residential program; partial program; furlough program; and,
mental health/substance abuse evaluation program); Two children emergency
shelters, one in Omaha and one in Fremont (24 hours); One group home (24
hours); One domestic violence shelter for women and children (24 hours);
Domestic abuse programs in Sarpy and Cass County; Family Support
program; Two neighborhood emergency service programs; Solomon Girls
Center; Family Resource Center; Juvenile Tracker Program; Family Service
Worker Program; Child and Adult Care Food Program; Senior Center; Family
Engagement Program; therapy for youth; abused women and children and
batterers program; and Respite and Crisis Respite Programs.
• Responsible for ongoing development of programs within the agency.
• Created a fundraiser event for the Fremont community and implemented for
four years for Heartland Family Service. The event profit grew from $5000 to
$42,000.
• Developed, organized, implemented and facilitated the Sarpy County Advisory
Board.
• Created a successful fundraiser event for the Sarpy County area, a first time
event, for Heartland Family Service.
• Reviewed and restructured the Child Welfare Department to increase quality
of service for clients.
• Chair of the Record Review Quality Improvement Team for the agency to
assess and insure compliance with city, county, state and federal regulations.
• Designed, implemented, administered and facilitated (Chair) the Staff
Appreciation Committee for the agency, which resulted in several positive
projects for the staff including the establishment of two annual employee
gatherings.
• Identified, reviewed and restructured organizational framework of
management which resulted in savings of over $220,000 per year in
administrative costs as well as delineated accountability for all management
personnel for Douglas County Corrections.

Douglas County Corrections. (This was the first time a Citizen Advisory
Committee was established for the department).
• Coordinated, organized and facilitated the $12 million dollar construction and
transition project for the Douglas County Youth Center.

coalition development among staff, referral sources and the public. Ability to

WHEREAS, Sections 2-171 through 2-187,Division 2,Article VI,Chapter 2 of the
Omaha Municipal Code, provide for the appointment of members of the Administrative Appeals
Board; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Jim Suttle has reappointed Ann O'Connor to serve on the
Administrative Appeals Board, said term to commence on the date of confirmation by the City
Council and expiring three years later.
