seeks confirmation of the following nominees for appointment as members of the Workforce
Opportunity Task Force. The Workforce Opportunity Task Force was created by the City Council by
Council Resolution 792 and adopted on July 21, 2009.

WHEREAS, the City Council created the Workforce Opportunity Task Force by
Council Resolution 792 adopted on July 21, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the task force is to be comprised of five members subject to
confirmation by the City Council consisting of the following; one chosen by the Mayor, one by the
City Council, one by the Chamber of Commerce, the Chairperson of the Tri-County Workforce
Investment Board, and one chosen by the Omaha Federation of Labor; and,
WHEREAS, the following individuals have been nominated for appointment and are
seeking confirmation by the City Council: Tom Warren appointed by Mayor Jim Suttle, Fernando
"Butch" Lecuona appointed by the City Council President Garry Gernandt, Wendy Boyer appointed
