Please find attached a chart of the resolution items. The chart provides a brief summary of each item. Additionally, I have one copy of each draft bill that I have received from the Law Department available for review in my office. In the alternative, I can provide you with a copy of a specific bill if requested. As the chart indicates, there are eight requests to introduce legislation; seven requests to support legislation and one resolution to give the City Lobbyist authority to act. Therefore, if all of the resolutions pass, the City of Omaha will have an ambitious - legislative agenda. It has been my experience in past years that the City prioritize its legislative agenda down to approximately 3 or so top priorities in order to improve our chances of success. There are 60 working day in the 2010 legislative session. Please consider using the attached chart when evaluating each idea for a change in state law.
