I am writing this regarding the snow removal and garbage pick-up in my neighborhood. Since our initial snowfall in early December to present day, it has been an ongoing challenge to travel the streets. In addition to driving, parking in my garage(alley access)is treacherous. It is a daily question; I never know if I will be able to leave my garage or park there when I return home. I have driven in many other neighborhoods in the city and have had visitors to my home. My midtown area is by far the worst I have seen. Regarding garbage pick-up, it is stacking up in my garage because the trucks are not making it down the alley. I have carried it out to the street on one occasion but, would like to know when this action will no longer be necessary. Another matter of great concern are the potholes around the midtown area. 50th Street south of Dodge and Saddlecreek from Leavenworth to Cumming are increasingly worse on a daily basis. This is not only hazardous to vehicles, but as people attempt to drive around them, driver safety is in jeopardy. I appreciate your attention to these matter. Sincerely, Jodi Niemants 1/25/2010 Brown; Buster (CCIk) From: TTech@woodmen.org Sent: Sunday, January 24, 2010 8:40 AM To: Brown, Buster(CCIk) Subject: Alley My name is Teresa Tech and I live on 4416 Poppleton Ave. The access to my garage is through the alley and if I didn't own a 4 wheel drive there would be no possible way to get to it. I feel sorry for a lot of my neighbors that get stuck trying to get to their garage. And if you park on the street you either get plowed in, stuck, or told you can't parked on the street. This is ridiculous. Something needs to be done. It's been over a month with no plow coming through the alley.
