Liquor License Application Parliament Pub Midtown, Inc.
Dear Council Members:
•
East Campus Realty, LLC is the Mutual of Omaha subsidiary that owns Midtown
Crossing at Turner Park, the $325+ million mixed-use redevelopment project in
Midtown Omaha. We support Parliament Pula Midtown, Inc.'s application for a
Class "C" Liquor License for its new premises located at 120 South 31st Avenue,
. Omaha.
The feasibility study supporting the development says in pertinent part that "[in]
order to be successful, the proposed Midtown Crossing at Turner Park center
must create a shopping/entertainment environment unique to the entire Omaha
CSBA...The center should have a substantial and unique restaurant and
entertainment base to create excitement and build upon the existing strength of
the sports and cultural venues..."
Parliament Pub is an English-themed pub with a rock-n-roll edge. All of the
artwork on the walls is dedicated to UK bands: Beatles, Sex Pistols, Led
Zeppelin, and others. The Midtown location will feature, among other things, live
rock bands and some acoustic shows.
Parliament Pub fits our retail merchandising strategy recommended by the
feasibility study for Midtown Crossing. Accordingly, we entered into a lease
agreement for approximately 5,100 square feet in the building located at 120
South 31st Avenue. In addition to our investment in the unfinished space leased
to Parliament Pub, we are committed to spending $500,000 finishing out their
space. Our total investment in Parliament Pub's space alone will exceed $2
million. Construction of the interior finishes of.Parliament Pub's premises is
underway and they are scheduled to open this Spring.
Parliament Pub is an established and responsible Omaha operator with a
location at The Shops of Legacy. When open, we expect the pub's Midtown

Crossing location to create dozens of new jobs and over $2 million in annual
sales revenue. Parliament Pub is good for Midtown Crossing at Turner Park,
Midtown Omaha and for the City of Omaha as a whole. We strongly endorse
approval of Parliament Pub's liquor license application. We ask the City Counsel
to approve Parliament Pub's liquor license application for its new Midtown
Crossing location.
