Jim Suttle,Mayor Public Works Director Honorable President and Members of the City Council, The attached resolution approves the contract with Freshwater Consulting, Inc. for OPW 51938, being Carter Lake In-Lake Treatment Project. The following bids were received on April 28, 2010. A detailed bid tabulation is attached. Contractor Total Bid FRESHWATER CONSULTING, INC. $807,293.00 (SOLE BID) The contractor has on file a current Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City policy, the Human Rights and Relations Department will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the Contract Compliance Ordinance. The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 51938 from the 2006 Park Bond Fund 13354, 2010 Issue Park Bond Organization 117315, year 2010 expenditures, with 100 percent of this cost being reimbursed by the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) in accord with the Interlocal Agreement with MAPA for the cleanup of Carter Lake. The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Freshwater Consulting, Inc. in the amount of $807,293.00, being the sole received, and requests your consideration and approval of this resolution.
