RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, reimbursement to Metropolitan Utility District (MUD), is necessary for
relocation of their facilities located within project limits of OPW 50417, being the 168th
Street from Q Street to West Center Road Project; and,
WHEREAS, at the request of the Public Works Department's conflict review with
the 100% design plans for OPW 50417, MUD, submitted a detailed breakdown of costs
associated with relocation requirements, which by this reference becomes a part hereof;
and,
WHEREAS, the amount of $145,000.00, will be paid from the 2018 Transportation
Bond Fund 13185, Transportation Bonds Organization 117117.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the reimbursement for facility relocation
expenses to Metropolitan Utility District (MUD), a part of OPW 50417, being the 168th
Street from Q Street to West Center Road Project, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay this reimbursement in the
amount of $145,000.00, from the 2018 Transportation Bond Fund 13185, Transportation
Bonds Organization 117117.

Mr. Babcock:
In consideration of the estimated sum of$145,000.00, paid by the City of Omaha ("City")to the Metropolitan
Utilities District("District"), the District will perform the following work:
1. Install approximately 110 feet of 8"ductile iron water main in Ehlers Street east of 168th Street to avoid
conflicts with a proposed noise wall in Ehlers Street. Abandon approximately 100 feet of 8"ductile iron
water main ($84,000.00).
2. Install 80 feet of 4" 125#steel and 60 feet of 4" 60#plastic gas main to avoid conflicts with proposed
grade cuts at an existing above ground regulator station at 168th Street and approximately"N"Circle.
Abandon 80 feet of 4" 125#steel and 60 feet of 4"60# plastic gas main ($61,000.00).
This work will be invoiced on a time and material basis. The City will be responsible for the actual final cost of
items 1 and 2.
Please return a signed copy of this letter to my attention. Receipt of this letter, signed by an agent of the City
authorized to approve full payment to the District, indicates the City's agreement to the terms of this letter.
