The original contract was approved by Ordinance No. 36953 passed on March 15, 2005. The contract has provisions for two extensions of two years each. The enclosed Ordinance approves the renewal of the agreement for two years beginning on April 1,2010. The cost of the renewed contract will be $80,026.00 for the first year and will be paid from the General Fund 11111, Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Organization 116321. The Public. While working on OTIA III,Kristi was directly involved in the bundling and staging of design contracts, as well as establishing performance measures for programmatic goals and deliverables for project work. She holds a Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning,with an emphasis on Environmental Planning. Kristi manages administration of the city's$4.3 million allocation of the 2009 Recovery Act Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, including all funded projects.Milo Mumgard has over twenty years experience as a nationally recognized leader in the legal and policy making communities. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Omaha hereby approves the exercise of the optional extensions of the contract with Deffenbaugh Industries for solid waste collections from Omaha Housing Authority Sites involving payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended. Section 2. The Finance Department is authorized to issue a purchase order in the amount of$80,026.00 for the first 12-month period beginning April 1, 2010 in accordance with the terms and conditions relative to such reimbursement. The second 12-month period of the contract will be for the same amount with escalation calculated in accordance with the provisions of the contract. Section 3. That the reimbursement shall be made from the General Fund 11111, Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Organization 116321. Section 4.
