The attached resolution approves the contract with Rife Construction, Inc. for OPW 52203-SP,
being ADA Improvements at Columbus Park Community Center located at 1515 South 24th
Street.
The following bids were received on September 21, 2011. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.
Contractor Total Bid
RIFE CONSTRUCTION, INC. $20,998.00 (LOW BID)
Fauss Construction $38,400.00
JMN Construction $58,500.00
The contractor has a current Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1) on file. As is City
policy, the Human Rights and Relations Department will review the contractor to ensure
compliance with the Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of OPW 52203-SP from the 2006 Public
Facilities Bond Fund 13244, 2011 Issue of 2006 Public Facilities Capital Organization 116262,
year 2011 expenditures.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Rife Construction,
Inc. in the amount of $20,998.00, being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your
consideration and approval of this resolution.

WHEREAS, bids were submitted on September 21, 2011 for OPW 52203-SP --being

WHEREAS, Rife Construction, Inc. submitted a bid of$20,998.00, being the lowest and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the contract with Rife Construction, Inc. for
OPW 52203-SP, being ADA Improvements at Columbus Park Community Center located at
1515 South 24th Street in the amount of$20,998.00 is hereby approved; and, that the Finance
Department is authorized to pay this cost from the 2006 Public Facilities Bond Fund 13244, 2011 _
